Paying Homage to the Crystal Guardians
Who’s really running the show at The Crystal Garden? It’s the amazing team work of the Crystal Guardians that make it all happen. I call the staff of The Crystal Garden, Crystal Guardians, as their job is much more than just an employee of a metaphysical retail store and center.
I am grateful for the longevity, loyalty and dedication of my staff. Yes, I am very possessive of them in a healthy, honoring way. I am so blessed that I can go on my excellent adventures to teach and share at other retail stores around the country, take vacations, run my family businesses and never have to think about if everything is alright at The Crystal Garden. I know that the Crystal Guardians have it under control.
Although I do all the buying, create and update the website, answer all the emails and pay the bills, all of the rest is handled by the staff. Some of you know the staff well and, hopefully, this article will help you to know them better. I pay homage to them and thank them for running the show daily.A unique quality of the Crystal Guardians is that all of them have been either my friend or a customer before working here. Fellow store owners in the area and nationwide, whom I am friendly with, find this highly unusual yet it really works for me. It’s my nature to want to feel like we are a family and the depth of loyalty and love among us is priceless. Let me tell you about them.
Pam Elliott – Assistant Manager Pam became a customer of the store 15 years ago while she was in the corporate world. Although she wasn’t staff back then, she often volunteered with special projects like painting, new displays, off site events and sewing. She is a great seamstress. Pam and I have sat in many Sacred Circles together and traveled to remote Sacred Sights around the world. We share fun memories of our predicaments in Peru and Mexico. We have developed our friendship over the years and she’s shared in many holidays at the table with my family. Pam is very detailed and meticulous, so we have her to thank for the neatness of the shelves and the books around the store. She is great at receiving merchandise, which is a very detailed process. Pam is a Licensed Massage Therapist and has completed her intensive studies to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. She is also a Reiki Master and a Spiritual Healer.
Dawn Seiler I first met Dawn as a customer 9 years ago. We became friends over the years while attending the Universal Lightworkers Conference and traveling on the Sacred Sites tour to England and France. That trip really bonded us. We’ve weathered 2 hurricanes together and she, too, has been part of many family parties. Dawn is one of my best friends. She is fantastic at receiving our merchandise orders which can be a very tedious job. She enjoys helping me choose jewelry and merchandise and helps me manage various aspects of this business. Dawn trains new staff as well. Dawn also makes beautiful jewelry and her jewelry is for sale at The Crystal Garden.
Tecia Linville Tecia has been coming to the store for over 8 years as a customer. She has attended many of the Drumming Circles and Crystal Singing Bowl Meditations, sometimes with her son who is now a teenager. One evening after a class, she was straightening the room. I told her that if she kept doing that she would soon be working here. Her eyes lit up and said, “Oh yes, I would love that.” She filled out an application and started the next day. She’s become a valuable part of the team. Tecia is kind, gentle, nurturing and spoils me and all of her co-workers! She loves straightening and cleaning the shelves which are important in a retail store. She has a lot of patience and always wants to please our customers bringing much joy into our space. Tecia has been trained as a massage therapist and will be sitting for her exam soon. She is also fluent in Portuguese and knows Spanish as well.
Chrissy Clark is the newest addition to The Crystal Garden. After many months of being a good customer, I realized Chrissy would be a perfect addition to our fabulous staff. Chrissy is a school teacher and works part time with us. She has been instrumental in keeping the store organized and neat. Chrissy traveled with me to INATS West and was in charge of our booth for the Wholesale Division start-up on an International level. She was well liked by the retailers around the country for her care and attention.
I am so blessed to have such an amazing staff. They are on the very top of my gratitude prayer list. As I meet more store owners like myself while I travel to teach and promote my CDs, aromatherapy and sprays throughout the country, it has become even more obvious how blessed and fortunate I am to have this staff of shining stars.

Marguerite Barringer – RETIRED - Assistant Manager Marguerite was a friends of my Mom who is now in heaven and has been to many of my personal family gatherings. Marguerite joined the team in June 1993. She has the patience of a saint. She has a very compassionate and forgiving nature and rarely loses her cool. Marguerite trains new Crystal Guardians when we add someone to our staff. She does much of the behind the scenes work like scheduling staff which is a big job, filing, cleaning, display arrangement, ordering supplies, and she knows where everything is. If we can’t find something, more often than not, Marguerite knows where it is. She’s also great at fixing things. With over 30 years experience, Marguerite is a Reiki Master and teaches all the Reiki courses. She also teaches St. Germain teachings, dowsing and pendulums, seeing and reading auras and more. Marguerite just celebrated her 80th birthday so we are grateful for her many years of experience and wisdom!
Special Note:
Marguerite Barringer, long-time friend, employee and practitioner of The Crystal Garden, has had her ascent into the Heavenly Realm. Her birthday in Heaven is July 10, 2009. We will miss Marguerite so much that words cannot express. She is well-loved by many.
