Headache Healer’s Handbook
Headache Healer’s Handbook
A holistic, hands-on somatic self-care program for headache and migraine relief and prevention
About the Author:
Jan Mundo’s adventures with headaches began as a child when she would ward off her mom’s impending migraines by massaging her neck and shoulders.
In 1970 she developed touch and concentration therapy for headaches and migraines, including her own. Everyone gravitated to Jan when they were suffering, and she would stop their pain. She overcame her own migraine cycles, which had increased at age 40, with mind-body self-care practices, from which she developed a holistic headache relief and prevention program. Her classes and lectures have been held at medical centers, universities, corporations, and conferences including New York Headache Center, UCSF Medical Center, Stanford University, Apple, LinkedIn, The Embodiment Conference, and MilesForMigraine.
The Headache Healer’s Handbook is the comprehensive Mundo Program detailed in a book for the first time. As one reader expressed, “After thirty years of struggle, I feel as if I have a new lease on life.”
A certified Master Somatic Coach and Bodyworker, Body-Centered Therapist, and massage therapist, with advanced training in multiple healing modalities, she sees private clients online (and in non-pandemic times in the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City). Mundo’s writing is also published in the anthology Being Human at Work, Massage Magazine, MigraineAgain, Journal Cephalalgia, Spiritual Midwifery, and The Farm Vegetarian Cookbook (contributing editor).
