OM is the symbol for the sound of creation which never ceases. Out of this sound emerged creation. It is the word which was God. In its vibrations, everything is contained. OM is a wonderful tool for concentration which leads to meditation. Many people of different beliefs practice the chanting of OM to experience peace, and tranquility, and to connect with the higher wisdom of creation.

Just like dust, energy and thought forms accumulate in the corners of a room more so than in the center. Be sure to send the smoldering smoke toward clear the windowsills and under tables. Open cabinet doors and closets and smudge away the accumulated energy. Fan the smoke with your intention to clear under shelves and behind furniture. Also, imagine the space you are clearing is refilling immediately with love and blessings.

To clear a room or space, set your intention to release accumulated negative energy and carry the smoldering herbs, moving in a clockwise direction, to each corner of the room. Be sure to direct the smoke into all of the nooks and crannies. It can be helpful to use a large feather to fan the smoke in the direction you want it to go. If you are using the smokeless alternative to smudging, be sure to spray the liquid smudge in the same manner as you would if you were directing the smoke. Just like dust accumulates in corners more than it does in the center of a room, so does the negative energy. So, be sure to smudge under shelves, around windowsills, under and behind bookshelves and wall units, and under tables too. Open cabinet doors and allow the smoke to chase away any negative energy that has accumulated inside.
