What is a rosary?

A simple rosary consists of a string of beads which includes a crucifix.  Rosary beads are made from many types of material, such as pearl, hematite, crystal, glass, rose petals, and wood. Rosaries can be any color, shape, or size.

How to Say the Rosary

Make a petition, or prayer request, or focus on a person or situation you want to pray about/for. Using the beads as markers, pray in the following manner.

  1. Make the Sign of the Cross and say the “Apostles’ Creed”
  2. Say the “Our Father”
  3. Say three “Hail Marys.”
  4. Say the “Glory Be”
  5. Say ten “Hail Marys”  for each decade
  6. Say the “Glory Be”  in between each decade
  7. Say the “Our Father”  in between each decade
  8. Repeat 5 – 7 until you’ve been through all the decades
  9. Make the “Sign of the Cross”

“Trust your intuition and step into your personal power. Go within using prayer, meditation, and contemplation. Observe the intentions behind the “buttons” to gain further clarity and understanding about your life and the lives of those around you.”
