When I trained with a medicine woman in dreaming and stalking techniques, she would have me dream from my navel. To dream from my navel, I would form a strong intention to dream from my navel. Prior to falling asleep I placed a river rock on my navel. The river rock was bigger than a large baking potato and flat. Placing a river rock on my navel drew my attention to that energy center and reminded me of my intention to dream from that center as I fell asleep. I was blessed with many profound dreams using this technique. Much of this training was based on the teachings of Carlos Castaneda. Castaneda was an author who wrote a series of twelve books, starting with the Teachings of Don Juan in 1968. Two of these techniques are dreaming and self-stalking.
