"Archangel Gabriel is a Divine Oracle. Gabriel is God’s chief messenger. Archangel Gabriel is one of the ruling princes of the Choir of Angels, Archangels, Cherubim, and Powers. Archangels Gabriel, Michael, Raphael, and Uriel are the four major archangels. According to the Book of Enoch, Pseudo-Dionysius, and the Coptic Orthodox tradition, Archangel Gabriel is one of the seven archangels. He plays a prominent role as one of God’s archangels in Kabbalistic tradition.
Gabriel is an archangel sent by God to various prophets, including Muhammad and Daniel. This archangel spent around 22 years on Earth, appearing regularly to dictate the Koran to Mohammed. This messenger archangel, the Angel of the Annunciation, is well-known for announcing the Messiah’s birth 200 years before His birth."
