About the stone: Labradorite is a member of the plagioclase series of feldspars composed of a varying mixture of sodium aluminum silicate and calcium aluminum silicate. Labradorite forms in the triclinic system, however, it is usually found in massive form with characteristic iridescence and is also known as spectrolite.
