Mala beads, often called a Japa mala, serve as a powerful tool in spiritual practices across various religions, including Hinduism, Jainism, Sikhism, Buddhism, and Shintō. Traditionally consisting of 108 beads, a mala is used to count mantras during meditation or prayer, providing a tangible guide as practitioners focus their minds and spirits. Black obsidian can be used to request the aid of Archangels Melchizedek and Sabrael.

Mental uses:  is perfect to ground you and keep you focused. If you have a tendency to get easily distracted or off center, use this stone to keep your mind on the task at hand. It is also beneficial for maintaining a positive outlook by keeping negative thoughts at bay.
