Amethyst is great for transforming any situation. It has been called the sobriety stone for many moons and is associated with the breaking of bad habits. It’s the perfect stone to use for the process of becoming a nonsmoker or a thinner person. It breaks habitual patterns and helps you positively live your life.

Since amethyst is a crown chakra stone as well as a third eye stone, it is helpful for balancing both of these energy centers.
