• The Vow: Legend says she originated eons ago as a princess named Yeshe Dawa (Moon of Wisdom) who achieved high realization. When told she should pray to be reborn as a man to attain full enlightenment, she vowed instead to always manifest and reach Buddhahood in a female form.
• The Color Green: Her turquoise-green hue represents the element of wind, dynamic action, and the "all-accomplishing activity" of the northern Buddha Amoghasiddhi.
