The Divine Mother: Heavenly Assistance from the Divine Feminine
By Margaret Ann Lembo
Women have walked this path before us, laying a foundation for future generations. Empowered women inspire us to embrace our personal power fully. A few role models I’ve admired over the years include Saint Anne, Mother Mary, and Mary Magdalene – to name just a few.
Saint Anne was the grandmother of Jesus and the mother of the Mother Mary. She and her husband, Joachim, who were childless for many years, remained devout and faithful, continuing to pray for a child. The Archangel Gabriel appeared to Anne and Joachim separately to inform them that they would conceive a child who would be dedicated to God. Saint Anne was blessed with the special grace to conceive Mother Mary at an advanced age. Call on Saint Anne to help you with your faith. She is the saint to pray to if you are unmarried and wish to be married. She is the patron saint of housewives, women in labor, grandmothers, lace makers, seamstresses, childless individuals, equestrians, miners, and the poor. Additionally, she serves as the patron saint of grandparents, mothers, married couples, and those facing infertility.
Mother Mary entered service in the Temple in Jerusalem at the age of three. God chose her to give birth to Jesus. She was “with child from the Holy Spirit” and is believed to have conceived immaculately. Mother Mary ascended body and was assumed into heaven by God. Her bodily ascension left no relics behind; however, her hair, clothing, rings, veils, and shoes remained. Her final residence was a small house outside of Ephesus on Mt. Koressos. She is more than just a saint – she is the goddess of the moon and the star of the sea. Known as the Queen of Heaven and Our Lady of Angels, Mother Mary emulated motherhood, purity, modesty, faith, and love.
Mary Magdalene was a remarkable healer who used oils and herbs. She is known for anointing Jesus‘ feet with spikenard from an alabaster jar, preparing him for the impending arrest, torture, and crucifixion. Mary Magdalene was closest to Jesus. From my perspective and research, she was Jesus‘ wife and embodies the Feminine Christ. It is important to note that Jesus was a Rabbi; during that time, Rabbis were expected to marry and have at least two children. She is recognized as the disciple whom Jesus loved. It is suggested that she was wealthy and could support Jesus’ ministry. Mary Magdalene is the patron saint of apothecaries, aromatherapists, the contemplative life, perfumers, pharmacists, Provence, and women.
Reflect on these women’s lives and draw upon their energy to align your consciousness with the Feminine Christ. Nurture your relationship with your spiritual essence. You are a spiritual being with a purpose you accepted before coming to this planet. Request their assistance in remembering your truth and recognizing the great wisdom within you. Like them, you can embody love in all its forms. Embrace a contemplative life filled with peace and spiritual connection.
