The Reality of Resolutions

The Reality of Resolutions

by Margaret Ann Lembo

At the beginning of every year, you find yourself making “the list.” You ask yourself, “What do I want to achieve this year?” “Am I happy with my life the way it is?” The change in the calendar from one year to the next offers the opportunity to ask yourself these questions and more.

Don’t wait to make the list. It’s always time to use tools for the focus to create your reality. Resolutions are for daily use all year long, every year.

Are you living your passion? If not, each day is the right day to begin to change to make your life all you want it to be.

An excerpt from Chakra Awakening

The orange at the navel can be used as a focus for the intentional creation of reality. What do you want to give birth to? Connect with the end result in advance. Connect with the spirit of your creation as if it already exists. Do you want to create your own business, build a house, create a garden, or write a book?

Imagine the spirit of your creation. Contemplate these questions: What does it look like? How does it feel? How does it smell? If your creation is something you can hold on to, imagine not only what it may emotionally feel like—the sensations as you touch it—but also how it feels to you on an emotional level. Use all your senses: thought, emotion, taste, smell, touch, sight, and sound. Whatever you put your attention on will be created.

To create something, organize your thoughts. Make a list of what you want. Arrange these thoughts into categories like income, career, family, travel, physical, social, education, and spirituality. Written goals and intentions clarify and crystallize your objective. Prioritize, visualize, make lists, and set deadlines. Establishing a deadline creates a chemical reaction in your body, mind, and spirit to make the goal a reality. Use lists to help you stay organized and focused.

Exercise: The Navel Manifestation List

On a blank piece of paper, write down one hundred things you would like to manifest or create in your life. Don’t hold back. Include all kinds of dreams and wishes. Once you’ve completed your list, organize your entries into the following categories:

  • Education
  • Family/Friends
  • Income/Career
  • Physical
  • Social
  • Spirituality
  • Travel

Next, prioritize the entries in each category so that the most important things you desire are at the top. Now, take one or two items from all of the categories and make a to-do list for each of those items, including everything required to make it happen. Establish deadlines for each of the items on your to-do list. Be very specific and work on something on the list every day.

Anything that you ardently desire, visualize with passion, truly believe in and enthusiastically act upon will come to pass.”
