Labor Day Contemplation: Honor Yourself, Honor Others

As we approach the year’s final quarter, let us take a moment to honor ourselves and each other. Labor Day, a holiday established to recognize the contributions of our nation’s workers, serves as a reminder of the importance of acknowledging the efforts of others. We all contribute to the prosperity and well-being of America, just as we contribute to the well-being of ourselves and our close friends and family. This understanding fosters a sense of appreciation and empathy towards the contributions of others.

Each of us holds the key to unlocking our boundless potential. We are all bound by a sacred agreement with the Divine, a contract that delineates our Soul’s Purpose and the unique life path we choose to fulfill that purpose. Before we embarked on this earthly journey, we were cognizant of our intentions, the challenges we would confront, the lessons we would learn, the issues we would heal, and the contributions we would make towards harmony and peace. This understanding invites us to reflect on our unique life path and purpose, fostering a sense of introspection and contemplation. Gemstones, with their unique vibrational essence, can aid in this self-reflection, offering a new perspective and understanding.

We acquire new tools throughout our lives and begin practicing our unique Soul Purpose and current life path at a young age. As children, we played make-believe. Perhaps you played house or imagined being a famous musician or having horses and stables. Whatever we imagined, we drew it, wrote about it, and acted out these ideas while playing with others. Though we may not be doing exactly what we imagined we would do as children when we grew up, facets of our imaginary playtime show up in various aspects of our life’s work.

Gemstone Guardians Cards & Your Soul Purpose Thumbnail

In my deck, Gemstone Guardians and Your Soul Purpose, I describe 44 life paths, covering many walks of life, including 11 Soul Purpose archetypes. This diversity reflects the unique contributions each of us has in our community. As with most of my work, I like to match the vibrational essence of crystals to almost anything, including life paths. This diversity of life paths and soul purposes ensures that everyone’s journey is honored and valued.

Transparent and clear yellow stones help you focus on living up to your potential, including your dreams, desires, and soul contracts. Examples in this category include apophyllite, golden calcite, citrine, imperial topaz, and optical calcite.

Stones that shimmer and refract light offer energy to amplify your ability to reach your dreams and goals. This category includes stones that exhibit the Schiller effect—a strong interplay of iridescent blue, green, red, orange, and yellows. Chatoyant gems that show a band of bright reflected light caused by aligned inclusions are beneficial to deflect jealousy as you climb the ladder of success. Some naturally chatoyant gems are apatite, beryl, charoite, chrysoberyl, feldspar, golden tiger’s eye, labradorite, moonstone, quartz, and selenite.

Mottled stones and stones with orbicular or spherical inclusions help you align with flexibility on all levels. Gemstones in this category are Dalmatian jasper, kambaba jasper, leopardskin jasper, orbicular or ocean jasper, and malachite.

Dark blue, black, brown, gray, and metallic minerals play a crucial role in helping you maintain mental focus. There are many gems that fall into this category, including aragonite; black onyx; black tourmaline; black or brown lingam stone; brown jasper; brown, black, and gray-banded agate; dolomite; hematite; lapis lazuli; pyrite; and sodalite. These gemstones, with their unique properties, can provide the support and reassurance you need to stay focused on your journey of self-reflection and understanding.

Pastel-colored stones are your key to compassion, gentleness, inner peace, inspired thought, kindness, tranquility, comfort, and love. These rocks span the full spectrum of colors, from soft pink stones like kunzite, pink calcite, and rose quartz to light green gems like chrysoprase, green calcite, and prehnite to light blue gems like angelite, blue calcite, blue lace agate, and celestite.

Let’s pull a card, any card, for this Labor Day.

Shuffle the deck and pick a card. You can also look at the cards and choose one you are drawn to. I find it more meaningful to pull a card with a question or an area of life in mind. Sit with the card and contemplate how it applies to your current situation. Contemplate both sides of the card and read more about the card in the booklet. Focus on the beautiful crystal image and repeat the matching affirmations. These positive thoughts will help you become more aware of what needs to be done or even what you must step away from.

We all must prepare food to eat, right? Here is the Chef and Apatite Card for all of us.

Do you enjoy cooking? Being a chef is a culinary art that allows you to provide delicious and nutritious food for pleasure and sustenance. Whenever you prepare food, you fall into the role of chef. But cooking is an art that transcends just the preparation. What do you think about while preparing food? Conscious preparation of food brings much more than just nutrition to the table.

Apatite is a tool for maintaining mindfulness while prepping food. Pairing this vibrationally matching gemstone with a Chef helps you align with how the food you’re preparing will be assimilated and absorbed, taking into consideration the nutrients as well as the emotions and thoughtforms you hold as you make and serve the food.

Let me know what card you pulled from the Gemstone Guardians and Your Soul Purpose Cards – and how it applies to your life.
