Evil Eye Cup and Saucer for Protection

Cultures that have Evil Eye or some variation include Turkey, Romania, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, Cyprus, Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, Egypt, Armenia, Iran, India, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, Iraq, and Azerbaijan,[31] where the Nazar is often hung in homes, offices, cars, children’s clothing, or incorporated in jewelry and ornaments.[30] They are a popular choice of souvenirs for tourists.

The evil eye is a superstitious curse or legend originating in Greece, believed to be cast by a malevolent glare, usually given to a person when one is unaware. Many cultures believe that receiving the evil eye will cause misfortune or injury,[1] while others believe it to be a kind of supernatural force that casts or reflects a malevolent gaze back upon those who wish harm upon others (especially innocents). Talismans or amulets created to protect against the evil eye are also frequently called “evil eyes”.[2][3]

The term’s idea causes many cultures to pursue protective measures against it. The concept and its significance vary widely among different cultures, but it is especially prominent in the Mediterranean and West Asia. The idea appears multiple times in Jewish rabbinic literature.[4] It was a widely extended belief among the many Mediterranean and Asian tribes and cultures. Charms and decorations with eye-like symbols known as Nazars, which are used to repel the evil eye, are a common sight across Cyprus, Greece, Portugal, Brazil, Israel, Ethiopia, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Albania, Algeria, Tunisia, Lebanon, Turkey, Palestine, Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, Iran, Iraq, Italy, Nepal, Pakistan, parts of India, Utah, Morocco, southern Spain, parts of Mexico, Malta, Montenegro, Romania, North Macedonia, Bulgaria, the Balkans, the Levant, Afghanistan, Syria, and Bahrain, and have become a popular choice of souvenir with tourists. Other popular amulets and talismans used to ward off the evil eye include the hamsa, while Italy (especially Southern Italy) employs a variety of other unique charms and gestures to defend against the evil eye, including the cornicello, the cimaruta, and the sign of the horns.

Protection Affirmation

“Call on the Angel of Protection when your life feels out of control or you feel unsafe. You may need protection from your own thoughts and emotions first! Calling on this angel is more like calling a legion of angels, all of which will help you become conscious of how you have drawn in situations that make you feel like you need protection. This angel can help protect you from outside influences as well. If you are feeling unsafe, start with yourself and pray. Pray that you can clear your mind, heart, and emotions of fear, and pray that you will be divinely protected by legions of angels. Use your imagination to envision yourself surrounded by an entourage of angels who deflect the negative thoughts, feelings, energies, and actions that come from others. Ask the Angel of Protection to create a shield of shimmering white light around you that transforms and transmutes anything in your space that isn’t loved into love.”

“Whether or not you are conscious of them, you have many invisible helpers around you every moment of your life. Imagine them there or just know that a large group of invisible helpers are ready to come to your aid. They’re watching over you, inspiring you, and guiding you along your path through life. They’re with you 24/7, when you are sleeping and when you are awake. And they’re just a thought away when you’re ready to be conscious of them. Angels have a high vibration and provide energetic assistance to us upon request. The personalities and qualities of these spiritual beings bring a plethora of positive vibes to your spiritual table.

Angels and archangels are androgynous, neither masculine nor feminine. While humankind has personified them to look like humans with wings and flowing robes, they are actually beings of light, color, and vibration. Angels act and react based on the thoughts of their human charges. They respond to prayers, requests, and petitions. They act as Divine messengers, communicating guidance and wisdom as well as the orchestration of synchronicity upon request based on Divine will and the highest good of all concerned.

In this book, you will learn about the most common angels of light, color, and vibration and how to work and play with them to create a happy, balanced life. The angelic realm is waiting for you to give them permission to help and need specific requests to activate their assistance. Because humans have free will, angels need to be asked to assist us or intervene on our behalf. They respond to thoughts and “hear” what you are thinking if you want them to help. To gain angelic assistance, simply think of the type of assistance you need or want. Determine the area of life to which it pertains. Then ask the everyday angel to guide you and inspire you to achieve that goal or intention.”
