$9.95 Hardcover

In the popular “Little Bit of” series: a Little Bit of Yoga is a fresh, accessible introduction to the postures and practice of yoga.

Although it is an age-old practice originating in India, yoga is still embraced by many as a means of enhancing physical, mental, and spiritual health. Not only does it calm and strengthen, but yoga can improve flexibility and mental clarity through deep breathing and poses. This accessible introduction presents the history and philosophy of the form, along with basic poses—including Adho Mukha Svanasana/“Downward Facing Dog,” Virabhadrasana/“Warrior,” and Vrksasana/“Tree”—and advice on incorporating them into a daily exercise program.

Wondering what yoga is all about?
A way of connecting the body, mind, and breath, yoga can be calming, strengthening, restorative, or invigorating. This accessible, easy-to-read book is the perfect starting point. It introduces the history of yoga, provides an overview of ten different forms (including Vinyasa, Hatha, Kundalini, and Bikram), and defines the philosophic principles behind the Eight Limbs of yoga. It also introduces and discusses some of the basic postures.

A note from Meagan:

“Multipotentialite:

someone with many interests and creative pursuits.

Multipotentialites have no “one true calling” the way specialists do. Being a multipotentialite is our destiny. We have many paths and we pursue all of them, either sequentially or simultaneously (or both).

Multipotentialites thrive on learning, exploring, and mastering new skills. We are excellent at bringing disparate ideas together in creative ways. This makes us incredible innovators and problem solvers.”

Life has brought many interest to my doorstep. I’ve found that as soon as I begin to thrive in one passion, another one comes knocking. Instead of relentlessly pouring over one at a time, I’ve embraced each knock as it comes naturally. Sometimes they melodically string together and overlap joylessly, and that is the idea behind creation of this blog. Enjoy each slice of my life!”
