About the stone: Blue tiger’s eye sphere, also known as hawk’s eye, is a quartz (silicon dioxide) chatoyant pseudomorph of a blue variety of asbestos called crocidolite. It can occur naturally, sometimes with a combination of blue and varying degrees of brown and yellow. In some cases, it is dyed blue.
