The Fragrant Garden and Memories of Memorial Days Past

Essential Guide to Aromatherapy and Vibrational Healing

The Fragrant Garden and Memories of Memorial Days Past

By Margaret Ann Lembo

“When I smell certain floral scents, I am immediately transported to my childhood garden. I am always grateful for the reminder, as my first and happiest memories are of time spent with my mother in that wonderful place.

We had a small front yard and backyard at our Brooklyn row house. In our neighborhood, trees lined the streets, and the backyards of the houses that backed up to our yard were a series of blooming gardens. Our garden was filled with many treasures—from pussy willows and forsythia to eggplants and tomatoes and from azaleas and crocus to iris, lily of the valley, and sweet pea. My mother and I talked to the plants, weeded the garden, and nourished the soil with coffee grounds and eggshells.

The garden experience traveled with us to our summer home at the beach in Breezy Point, New York. It didn’t occur to me until I was an adult that my mom—with me as her personal garden fairy—had actually grown an amazing garden in beach sand! Every year on Memorial Day weekend, we would leave Brooklyn to open the summerhouse and start the garden. On the way, we would pick up peat moss, cow manure, and starter plants. Once there, we would prepare the ground for the coming season. We would bury fish heads, kitchen cuttings from vegetables, and seaweed I had collected from the shoreline to nourish and nurture the plants. Little did I know, we were composting. It was just what we did, and I am so grateful that these gardening experiences taught me to connect with the energy of the plants at a young age and to understand its value today.

I was happy to have the tasks of weeding and watering. With my hose in hand, I would imagine the plants with fully mature flowers or vegetables. I would make believe I was pouring nutrients and good energy into the roots through the water from the hose. I’d imagine I was part of the book The Secret Garden, working with my imaginary friends to bring the garden to life. This book and the many years of growing up in the garden inspired me to follow my spiritual path as well as create my store and spiritual center, The Crystal Garden. The book The Secret Garden takes the reader on a journey in which faith restores health and flowers renew the spirit. I believe in the magic of the garden and nature—plants, animals, fairies, and the elemental energies—as gifts from the earth to remember our soul contracts and recover our body, mind, and spirit.”

~an excerpt from The Essential Guide to Aromatherapy and Vibrational Healing

Today I have a garden in my yard in what is essentially beach sand. Sunflowers and magnolias and roses are growing along with pineapple, peppers, gladiolas, tomatoes, papayas, figs, bananas, tropical ginger, and so much more. Take a little peek into my garden…

Power of Flowers Blog

The Power of Flowers: Rebirth and Renewal
By Margaret Ann Lembo

For millennia, the plant and flower kingdom are our closest ally for a happy and healthy existence. Reawaken your connection with the vibrational benefits of flowers. It is beneficial to pay attention to their color and structure to the potential aromatic or medicinal uses.

As part of a mindfulness exercise, use plants and flowers as a tool for the focus to be truly present during your daily activities. Consider planting seeds and nurture their growth. Indoors or outdoors, develop a relationship with plants by putting your awareness on your heart and imagining the plant at its fruition and thriving. Use the same imagery to include yourself envisioning yourself happy, healthy, and thriving as well. Whatever we focus on and work toward with passion and determination must become a reality.

Plants and flowers are gifts for you and me – spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically. Include using aromatherapy regularly to awaken, align with the Divine, calm your soul, ground your experience, and shift mind chatter into inner peace.

Take the time to meditate and focus on the center of your consciousness while in nature. Gift yourself with time in the sun and fresh air. Open to the realization that there is an underlying unity in all life. Allow your time with the plants and the flowers to reestablish the balance in your life. Find inner peace for your body, mind, and your soul.

A matching gemstone to use to remind you of your intention is Kambaba Jasper. Open your heart to loving yourself and others more fully and completely.

Affirm: The nourishing green energy of nature soothes my body. I nourish my soul, my mind, and my body.
Let the power of flowers bring you rebirth and renewal. Relax, restore, and awaken your body, mind, and spirit with these beautiful allies from the earth.

The Pathfinder: Awakening New Beginnings with Colors and Gems

The Pathfinder: Awakening New Beginnings with Colors and Gems
By Margaret Ann Lembo

As we enter another cycle through the wheel of life every spring, it provides extra energy for that part of you that is ready to begin something new with a fiery passion. Use this time of year to reactivate your confidence, enthusiasm, and passion for life. You don’t need to wait to do this when spring arrives because this vibration is available every day at sunrise. If you desire to get things moving in your life, here are a few gems that can support you because of the color and vibration.

Ammonite fossils, spiral-shaped (ram-horn) calcite fossilized shells, symbolically connect you with the power of the ram that represents power, strength, and the willingness to forge forward.

Carnelian, light to dark red variety of chalcedony, is a vibrational match for people who know how to get things started, and it helps with the energy to get the task completed.

Garnet and ruby carry the vibration of passion and determination. They activate your innate ability to catapult you toward your full potential.

Golden calcite is associated with part of you that believes you can achieve anything you put your mind to, and golden color of calcite can help with clarity of mind and feelings to remember your magnificence.

Red jasper is associated with energy and enthusiasm. Use red energy when you need an extra push to finish what you started.

You can choose to use the colors, orange, yellow and red, instead of or in addition to the colorful gems listed above. Wear clothes in this color range and take a mindful notice to these colors in your diet. Form the intention to be mindful and aware of your desire to improve confidence, enthusiasm, and a passion for life every time you look at and interact with this range of color to help you transform and improve your life.

Excerpt from Crystals Beyond Beginners: Awaken Your Consciousness with Precious Gifts from the Earth

Aries (March 21–April 19)
Aries is the first astrological sign of the zodiac cycle and the ruler of the first house of the astrological chart. The first house is known as the ascendant, the sign that was rising at the moment of your birth. The first house is the house of beginnings, your view of the world, and your personality. Aries is a cardinal sign, its planetary ruler is Mars, and its symbol is the ram. The other cardinal signs are Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn. Cardinal signs in the zodiac are the ones that start each of the seasons.

Aries is the sign that starts spring. The element associated with Aries is Fire and those born under this sign tend to have a fiery nature. The key phrase for Aries is “I am.” Aries are typically determined, confident, enthusiastic, and passionate. Aries may also be a bit impatient, aggressive, and possibly short-tempered. Aries are great leaders and are excellent at starting things. They have the ability to be pioneers and pathfinders. On a health level, Aries need to pay attention to anything to do with the head, like headaches or sinus challenges. It’s best for Aries to be mindful around insects, as they have a tendency to attract insect bites and stings.

Use aromatherapy to accentuate the positive aspects of this zodiac sign with my spray, Aries by The Crystal Garden Brand.

Essential Oils: Antibacterial, Antiseptic, and Antiviral By Margaret Ann Lembo

Essential Oils: Antibacterial, Antiseptic, and Antiviral
By Margaret Ann Lembo from The Essential Guide to Aromatherapy and Vibrational Healing

Aromatic plants have played an important role in health, beauty, food preservation, and healing on all levels for millennium, with written records going back to around 3,500 BC. Ancient Egyptians used aromatherapy in the embalming and mummification process (2650–2575 BC) as well as in their daily lives. Still known today as master perfumers, the Egyptians were actually the first to extract the volatile oils from plants with the use of heat.

The antiseptic, antibacterial, and antiviral properties of essential oils have been used to ward off diseases for centuries. It is said that, during the Great Plague in Europe, essential oils were used to prevent the plague from spreading. There were a number of these plagues that went through Seville (1647), London (1665–66), Vienna (1679), and Marseille (1720). Historical accounts suggest that because the perfumers were constantly handling these aromatic substances in the making of perfumes, they were immune to this terrible illness.

Essential oils also work on an energetic level to rebalance us spiritually, mentally, and emotionally, and offer many physiological benefits. Emotional and mental rebalancing includes raising our spirits when we are feeling down to clear out negative thoughtforms as well as psychic debris.

How to Use Essential Oils

There are many ways for essential oils to have positive effects on the body, mind, and spirit. The three ways I recommend using essential oils, whether as single notes or part of a blend, are:

1. Diffusion—cold-water mist from a diffuser or mister into the air.

2. Inhalation—smelling the oil or blend directly from the bottle or as a mist.

3. Topically—application to the skin (usually the soles of the feet) with the use of a carrier oil or lotion.

Incorporate the use of essential oils into your daily life. It adds another dimension to life. Use it to raise your spirits or ward off infections. There are many essential oils that are antibacterial, antiseptic, and antiviral including: eucalyptus, lavender, orange, ravensara, and tea tree. There are many more essential oils that have therapeutic qualities and other qualities to ward off infections and keep us healthy.

Antibacterial: Kills and inhibits the growth of bacteria; bactericidal (e.g., angelica, basil, blue cypress, cinnamon, clove, coriander, elemi, eucalyptus, fennel, frankincense, geranium, ginger, grapefruit, hyssop, jasmine, lemon, melissa)

Antifungal: Destroys fungus; fungicide (e.g., angelica, chamomile, cinnamon, clove, elemi, eucalyptus, fennel, geranium, jasmine, juniper berry, lavender, lemon, lemongrass, myrrh, neroli, orange, oregano, palmarosa, patchouli, pine, rosemary, rosewood, sage, sandalwood, spikenard, sweet marjoram, tea tree, thyme)

Anti-infectious: Prevents and reduces infections (e.g., ravensara, sandalwood, tea tree)

Antiseptic: Prevents and kills the growth of disease-causing microorganisms (e.g., allspice, angelica, anise seed, basil, benzoin, bergamot, birch, black pepper, cardamom, cedarwood, chamomile, cinnamon, clary sage, clove, elemi, eucalyptus, fennel, frankincense, geranium, ginger, grapefruit, hyacinth, hyssop, jasmine, juniper berry, lavender, lemon, lemongrass, lime, mandarin, melissa, myrrh, neroli, niaouli, orange, oregano, palmarosa, patchouli, peppermint, petitgrain, pine, ravensara, rosemary, rosewood, sage, sandalwood, spikenard, spruce, sweet marjoram, tea tree, thyme, vetiver, wintergreen, ylang ylang)

Antiviral: Removes, kills, and protects against viruses (e.g., angelica, benzoin, blue cypress, cinnamon, clove, elemi, eucalyptus, hyssop, jasmine, lavender, lime, melissa, orange, oregano, palmarosa, patchouli, peppermint, pine, ravensara, rosemary, rosewood, sage, sandalwood, sweet marjoram, tea tree, thyme)

Aromatherapy and Gemstones for Mindfulness and more

Aromatherapy and Gemstones for Mindfulness and more
By Margaret Ann Lembo

Aromatherapy isn’t just for smelling! Essential oils are powerful allies – mentally, physically, spiritually and emotionally. They contain potent chemical components and have the ability to deter a wide range of bacterial, fungal, viral, and/or other disease-causing microorganisms. Aromatherapy is effective on an energetic level to restore balance. Add a gemstone to help you maintain mindfulness and match your intentions with the aroma. Gemstones and crystals are allies to help you with mindfulness.

Here is a peek into the vibrational level of four essential oils and some gems opening to help you step beyond the ordinary.

Eucalyptus’ medicinal scent is penetrating, peppery, and powerful. With lapiz lazuli or sodalite in hand, inhale eucalyptus and breathe deeply to calm you while you release unhealthy attachments. The deep blue color of these two gems help you to see, sense, feel, and know the truth in any matter. Lapis lazuli opens the third eye and the intuitive senses when used with conscious intent. This is a good stone to help you remember your dreams and promote clarity during dreamtime. Lapis lazuli and sodalite along with other dark blue gemstones improve your concentration and focus and can be used during test-taking to align you with the higher knowledge that is accessible to all.

Frankincense brings wisdom and connection with inner peace and calm. Its respiratory gifts open the breathing passages making it a perfect tool for meditation. It helps us to remember that all things are possible. It teams with apophyllite to aid in grasping the connection to the divine. Apophyllite helps you access the Akashic Records. Use it during Reiki sessions to help you stay focused on allowing the Universal Life Force to flow through you. This sparkling gem brings higher levels of clarity to meditation experiences.

Lavender offers sweet transformation. Attraction to this scent signals a time to comfort yourself as you take it into your own hands to do what it takes to make your life happy. The list of therapeutic properties is quite long! Pair lavender’s scent with pink calcite to amplify feelings of safety and comfort. Pink calcite activates loving thoughts. It transforms less ideal mental musings into thoughts of self-love, thereby increasing your ability to love, and receive love from, others. Hold this stone when you are concentrating on thinking positive and uplifting thoughts about yourself and others.

Patchouli is perfect to attract both love and money. Inhale patchouli to help bring focus and promote the action necessary to amplify prosperity and goodwill toward all. Patchouli is a stabilizer and encourages grounded action. Gemstones like green moss agate or Kambamba jasper are beneficial to help you release toxic thoughts and replace them with good thoughts that naturally attract benefic energy. Green moss agate, with its moss-like pattern, helps you to remember to ground yourself. Use Green moss agate when you are experiencing mental fatigue. This stone helps you replenish your mental focus. Use Kambamba to improve your ability to give love and receive love. Its green energy opens your heart to loving yourself and others more fully and completely. It is also a good stone to keep nearby during regression therapy. The stone contains stromatolites, which are among the oldest fossils on earth considered to be over 3 billion years old, which provides it with the energy to help dislodge any stored information that is causing a repetitive pattern in your emotional consciousness.

Enjoy the benefits of pairing gemstones with essential oils to increase well-being and inner peace in your life. Maintain a sense of gratitude in all that you do and you will be blessed in all areas of your life.

Remove Obstacles Attract Blessings: Saints, Deities, Aromatherapy and Gems

Remove Obstacles Attract Blessings: Saints, Deities, Aromatherapy and Gems

By Margaret Ann Lembo

Do you want to make changes, but inner voices keep telling you that you can’t? Are you convincing yourself that you are blocked or stuck?

There is always hope. Call on saints or deities as allies to help you energetically with what seems to be hopeless. With focus, prayers, and faith, every situation can be shifted from despair to well-being. Make the decision and envision life as you wish it to be. Everything is a choice. And, yet, we often need help to overcome the darker hurdles on our path.

When you are feeling despair St. Jude is one you can call on. St. Jude is often considered the patron saint of hope and lost causes. Quiet your mind, send off a prayer to petition the aid of St. Jude Thaddeus when you feel that all is lost and there is no way out.

In the Hindu tradition, Ganesha is the elephant-headed god, son of Shiva and Parvati, is widely recognized as the destroyer of obstacles and a bringer of good fortune. Ganesha is the perfect ally to ask for help when you find yourself believe that you have a block or too many obstacles. Stories differ on how exactly he came to have an elephant’s head. Most believe that Shiva, his father, cut off his human head, without knowing it was his son, and replaced it with that of an elephant to save him.

In addition to calling on and invoking saints and deities, add aromatherapy and crystals to your entourage of allies. Use vibrational matching essential oils and gemstones to amplify your focus and intention to overcome life’s challenges. It’s helpful to remember that everything is temporary. Nothing is permanent. Trials and tribulations pass more quickly when we realize and remember that we have the ability to transform and transmute any challenge that arises with faith and focus.

Incorporate scents like amber and lemon to strengthen your personal power and core beliefs in positive outcomes.

Inhale deeply and let these fragrances and let these fragrances be your ally to help you know that the obstacles in your path will be cleared soon and the way will be revealed.

Wear gemstone jewelry with amber, citrine, and/or amethyst. You can also carry these gems in your pockets or a little gem bag. Or strategically place them around your home and/or office where you will glance upon them naturally. Gemstones are your ally, too, so you can overcome the hurdle with focused intention, prayer, and faith.

Combine these matching vibrations of St. Jude, Ganesha, amber fragrance, lemon essential oil (or citrus scented perfumes), and gemstones like amber, amethyst, and citrine (golden topaz and golden calcite work well, too) to amplify your focus on your desired outcome. Practice repeating positive affirmations and strengthen your internal belief. Know that you can easily resolve the current difficulty and visualize the outcome that your heart desires.

Here are a few affirmations to get you started:

Power and strength are mine.

It is safe for me to be powerful in loving ways.

I transform challenges with ease.

I release what is no longer for my highest good.

I am confident.

Though there were numerous obstacles in life, there is always the option to overcome difficulties and turn overwhelming situations into positive learning experiences that instill wisdom. Practice gratitude and count your blessings!

Ganesha: Destroyer of Obstacles & Bringer of Blessings

Do you want to make changes, but inner voices keep telling you that you can’t? Are you convincing yourself that you are blocked or stuck? You have the ability to overcome all obstacles. It is time to take action and be determined to make the necessary changes to transform your life!

Ganesha is the elephant-headed god in the Hindu tradition. Son of Shiva and Parvati, he is widely recognized as the destroyer of obstacles and a bringer of good fortune. Stories differ on how exactly he came to have an elephants head, though most believe it was a result of Shiva cutting off his human head and Parvati replacing it with that of an elephant to save her son.

I had planned to release this spray last year but the inspiration for the formula just wasn’t there. I’m a big believer in timing and waiting until something is just right before releasing it, so I waited until the time was right.

A lot happened between the expected release and now, forcing Ganesha to the back burner. One of the latest obstacles was a leak in my new bathroom that sent water into my office forcing me to remove absolutely everything from that room. This encouraged a major clearing and organizing that resulted in not only a more functional office but in me finding a scrap of paper with a formula written on it. As soon as I read it, I thought “Aha, Ganesha!” so I sat down and blended it right then and there. After a bit of tweaking, Ganesha was officially born.

Although there were numerous obstacles to his creation, true to his nature he removed them all. This energetic blend, like Ganesha himself, was born of difficulties turned to advantages and it is already a favorite among my staff and me.

Spray this spicy comforting scent to empower you to remember you can overcome any challenge with time, patience, and perseverance.

Use this affirmation to aid in the process: Power and strength are mine. It is safe for me to be powerful in loving ways. I transform challenges with ease. I release what is no longer for my highest good. I am confident. I earn unlimited income doing what I love.

Mary Magdalene Spray is now available at The Crystal Garden

Mary Magdalene’s position as a prominent part of the life of Jesus the Christ came to my awareness during various meditative and contemplative experience. During channeled writing practices, realizations and clues about their first child, Sara, was given to me which prompted me to do research and read more about the hidden texts and gospels. These books provided confirmation that Mary  Magdalene was the wife of Jesus the Christ. Marriage and children were expected of a Jewish man.

There are texts that have been uncovered that confirm Jesus’ marriage to Mary Magdalene and the birth of their children. Historical data and historical novels document this information which offers a higher level of awareness for Mary Magdalene’s role as the wife of Jesus the Christ.

Over the years I’ve traveled to Sacred Sites where it’s been said by the local people know that Mary Magdalene and Jesus the Christ have traveled after the crucifixion. One of these locations is Saintes Maries de la Mer in southern France. The Church of the Saintes Maries de la Mer was one of the two churches that showed me evidence via photos and murals depicting the arrival of pregnant Mary Magdalene via boat with a Roman soldier and (what I perceived to be) Jesus the Christ. There is much more to be said about this Holy Couple’s arrival to Europe and other locations after the crucifixion, but I will leave this here.
