Animal Totems and the Gemstone Kingdom

One morning, I woke up with the book title, Animal Totems and the Gemstone Kingdom: Spiritual Connections of Crystal Vibrations and Animal Medicine. It felt like someone told me, “Write this book.” I immediately sent off the title to my two favorite publishing houses and I was happy to hear of interest from one of them right away. I loved the realization that there is a direct correlation between the vibes of crystals and the vibes of animals.
Matching the teachings of gemstones with the teachings of animals provides you with an even deeper understanding and a life filled with “aha” moments. The spiritual fulfillment you seek is available to you in so many ways, and this path of working with gemstones and animal medicine is just one of many.
My interest in the teachings of nature, plants, and animals started in the garden with my mother. It’s easier to link with all life telepathically. Use mind-to-mind and heart-to-heart communication using visualized pictures, feelings, and words. The seen and unseen are real worlds, and these beings and energies help guide and light our path.
Animals do communicate with each other as well as with humans. Do you hear what your pets or animals and nature are saying to you? The characteristics of animals—from birds and insects to mammals, fish, and reptiles—relate to our human walk on this planet, providing us with lessons and helping us mindfully focus our intentions for our life experiences.
Animal medicine offers us a powerful signpost for self-knowledge and clarity on life’s challenges. When a creature from nature appears to you repetitively or in some out-of-the-ordinary way, it is time to pay attention and find the message that nature is bringing you. I remember a time when crows were showing up by my parked car at my shop and in my driveway at home. They cawed loudly and repetitively. It wasn’t until I understood the message and the warning – and it was a warning – that they flew off. I said to them out loud, “Why are you cawing at me? What are you trying to say?” Then, I had to listen and trust what I was receiving. Being aware of signs and symbols is important for gaining the insight we are looking for to keep us on our desired course in life.
I’m writing this during the winter, so you are more likely to see a cardinal this time of year. When cardinal appears in your life, ask yourself, “Do you find that you often set boundaries to protect your personal space? Have you tried to communicate in a creative and melodic way?” Cardinal totem is an ally for personal power and inner strength. When Bee shows up in your life, it is time to cultivate concepts or projects through action. Do what needs to be done, and make things happen. It’s time to be productive.
